About
I am a Master's prepared Registered Nurse with my specialty in Lactation Consultation. Maternal/Newborn Care has been a passion of mine for years. Over twenty years as a registered nurse working with moms and babies has been a blessing and a privilege. I have worked in hospitals providing patient care in the labor/delivery, postpartum and nursery settings. I received my IBCLC for Lactation 15 years ago. My experience with lactation has been in inpatient, outpatient and in-home settings. My experience as a mother of 3 allows me to see the need of in-home support for families of newborns. Allowing me to bring my expertise to the comfort of your own home is my goal.

Your satisfaction is greatly important to me. I want your care to be as stress free as possible.
-I am a partner with the Lactation Network where you may apply for possible insurance coverage on your lactation support at no cost to you. TLN works with many insurance groups to bring you the best lactation care with ease. *Click the link below to see if you qualify*.
-If you are a cash patient, payment is collected at time of visit. You may pay by cash, Venmo, or credit card. Please know I do not file with insurance but will provide you with the receipt and other requested items needed for you to file for reimbursement. Please call your insurance company prior to your visit to be aware of your coverage. Not all insurance coverage is the same.
-A doctor’s order is not required for me to visit but it may help you with insurance coverage to have an order from either the pediatrician or obstetrician. Most insurance companies ask that you file under the mother.
Currently serving Middle Tennessee. Rutherford County and surrounding counties.
**A travel fee may be added depending on your location. This will be disclosed to you prior to my visit**
*Pre-Delivery (Prenatal) Visit $150 (60 minutes)
Getting to know you is important. Let’s talk about you and your expectations and needs. A health history will be reviewed and discussed. I will answer your questions and help you prepare more for your new arrival.
*Initial Lactation Consultation $150 (60-90 minutes)
We will review health history, concerns and current breastfeeding status. A feeding will be observed with assistance to enhance your nursing experience. Your newborn will be weighed before and after the feeding. A custom feeding plan will be developed and reviewed with you. You will have unlimited phone and email contact with me following your visit for continued support.
*Follow-Up Visits $125 (60-90 minutes)
These will include feeding observation with pre and post feeding infant weights. We will discuss changes as needed for your feeding plan and any other concerns or questions you may have.
****Please note I do require you to have a primary physician following your newborn. I will report visits, findings and concerns to the physician as needed following your appointments to ensure your newborn has the complete care needed.
